Duration: 4 days in total including a half-day for the final assessment.

Course overview: This training course is intended to provide students with the knowledge required to comply with the Duty to Manage and their management options; prepare and review a management plan and be aware of the asbestos remediation options available and their safe working procedures.

Who should attend: Anyone who is responsible for the safe management of asbestos in non-domestic premises under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. This course is also suitable for Consultants advising clients on the safe management of asbestos in their buildings and Licensed Contractors overseeing management projects.
 
What will you learn: You'll learn about the types and uses of asbestos; health effects; asbestos legislation and guidance; asbestos registers and action plans; risk assessment; management of asbestos in buildings; implementation and review of the management plan; asbestos remediation measures; managing safe working procedures; controlling work on the fabric of the building; the role of the laboratory/analyst and the four stage clearance and testing procedure.
