This training course is intended for Managers and Directors who are responsible for running asbestos removal companies. The content complies with all the requirements in Chapter 4 of HSG 247 Asbestos: The Licensed contractors’ guide providing an overview of the site checks necessary during work in progress, licensing requirements and the implications of not complying with the standards set out in the ACoPs and asbestos legislation.
The Certificate of Asbestos Management course can also be provided for groups of personnel, at clients’ own premises, anywhere in the world. Training certificates and training identity/record cards are issued to persons who satisfactorily complete the course and all the practical assessments.
Supervisory Licence holders are recommended to attend the BOHS P406 Supervision and Management of the Safe removal and disposal of asbestos. This course was designed by the BOHS with considerable content input from the HSE. It is specifically intended for personnel undertaking the challenging role of Supervisory licence holder. - Health hazards of asbestos and legal responsibilities
- Legislation and guidance - management responsibilities
- Site set up, maintenance and dismantling
- Controlled stripping techniques, maintenance and training requirements
- RPE and PPE
- Transit and decontamination procedure - inspection and audit results
- Cleaning and clearance air testing
- Plant and equipment including checks and record keeping
- Waste management, transportation and disposall
- Emergency procedures - auditing and monitoring of work
- Non-asbestos hazards
- Fault finding including record keeping and reporting proceudres
- Roles and responsibilities - meeting legal requirements
- Site inspections and record keeping - fault finding and solutions
- Management systems and monitoring - POW, method statements, site supervision, monitoring and auditing work in progress

Once we receive your completed booking form a confirmation of that booking and an invoice will be sent to you by post within 2-3 days. All training fees must be paid before the course start date. Joining instructions are then sent to you by post and email before the course due date.

All fees are forfeited thereafter, however substitutions can be made right up to the start of the course.
