The aim of this proficiency module is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge in the techniques of fibre counting of asbestos air samples using phase contrast microscopy (PCM).

Day 1: 
Setting up the microscope
Filter preparation and fibre counting
Calculation of results and quality control 

Day 2:
BOHS exam
